Ukraine Flags Details

A Brief History of the Ukraine Flag
The blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag being seen as national symbols dates to the 1400s with the Battle of Grunwald. Yellow and blue were prevalent for centuries and were one of the color banners used by the Cossacks. The actual adoption of using the colors in a national flag began in 1848. A yellow and blue banner was used by the Supreme Ruthenian Council at the Spring of Nations. The yellow and blue colors were later used as flags by Ukraine during the Russian Revolution of 1905. As Ukraine struggled for independence, the blue and yellow color combinations took on several forms. For instance, some flags went yellow-blue instead of the more recognized blue-yellow pattern. It was agreed to use the blue-yellow flag when Ukraine became independent.
Under the Soviet Union, the Ukrainian flag was banned and one more like the Russian Soviet Union flag was implemented. The colors of the flag became red with eventually a blue line at the bottom and the Russian hammer and sickle symbol at the top. When the Soviet Union collapsed, the traditional blue-yellow Ukraine flags eventually became the symbol for the country again when it established its independence in 1991. The current design used became the official Ukrainian flag for sale in 1992.
The Meaning of the Blue and Yellow Colors
The blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag have been associated with the country for a long time. Different shades of the colors have been used in the past, with the current style being a lighter sky-blue color and a bright yellow shade that’s similar to gold. After choosing between yellow-blue or blue-yellow combination, the blue-yellow option was chosen as the official symbol. It is commonly said to represent a blue sky over a golden wheat field.

What type of printing is used?
Our Ukraine flags are printed using a state-of-the-art dye sublimation process. This technique infuses the ink into the fabric rather than printing the image on top.
