All our event banners come in the same five vinyl options. It is important to pick the right vinyl material to suit your location. If you want to setup the signs indoors, such as in your house for a party or in the lobby of an event venue, we offer two indoor vinyl materials. We have Indoor Vinyl and Indoor Opaque Vinyl. These materials are weather-resistant and UV-protected but have a different finishing. The Indoor Vinyl has a matte finish that is easy to photograph while the Indoor Opaque Vinyl has a sleeker, more reflective satin finish.
If you want to install your event banners outdoors, like a welcome banner for events, it is important to consider how long the banner will be setup and what kind of weather it will have to endure. We have three outdoor vinyl materials for various weather conditions. If the banner will be in a windy area, we suggest choosing the Mesh Vinyl. This vinyl is perforated, which means there are openings in the material for wind to pass through. If you need the banner for heavy duty display in constantly changing weather, we recommend going with the 23oz Opaque Vinyl. This material is weather-resistant and UV-protected for durability. For lighter, short-term outdoor use in milder weather, we have a 18oz version of the Opaque Vinyl, which is great for day long displays.
How will you be setting up your event banner? All our banners include several finishing options. It is important to know what finishing suits what type of assembly you will use:
Grommets: These are for hanging your signs with bungee cords across a wall, from a ceiling, or on a banner post. Choose between getting grommets in the four corners of the banner or on every 1.5ft of material, which we recommend for long banners.
Ultra-Strong Adhesive Tabs: These adhesive tabs work like grommets. You use them to hang a banner on a post, across a wall, or from the ceiling with bungee cords. Get adhesive tabs in the four corners of the banner or, if the banner is large, around the perimeter.
Pole Pockets: This option is for installing the banner on hardware that includes pole sets, such as a backdrop stand. Some stands are set up with one set of poles, others with two. To accommodate different hardware, you can get pocket pockets on the top or the top and bottom.
Hemmed Sides: Many customers like having the edges hemmed, especially for long term setups, because the sides will not tear or rip. You can add hemmed sides to one of the previous finishing instructions or get them by themselves if you are not using hardware.
Cut Sides: Another alternative for the sides is having them cut, which creates thin edges that are easy to place in a frame or on a canvas. This finishing is also ideal for light event banner displays indoors without hardware.
