This flag is made from a durable, outdoor-tested polyester material, which is knitted and tear-resistant to withstand all kinds of weather. This material can hold up in the wind, rain, heat, or any other elements for a long flag life. We use a modern dye sublimation printing method, which ingrains the ink into the fabric for vibrant colors that will not scratch or peel off the fabric. History of the Flag of Saudi Arabia
The original version of the Saudi Arabian flag was first adopted in the 1700s when the first Saudi state was established. It was known as the Flag of the Emirate of Diriyah and it included the green color and Arabic inscription. It was used from 1744 to 1818 and was subsequently also the Flag of the Emirate of Nejd from 1822 to 1891 and the Flag of the Emirate of Riyadh from 1902 to 1913. It went through several revisions during the following years. The inscription known as the shahada was used on the flags of Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab and his followers since the 1700s. The sword was added around 1921 by the future founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Al-Saud. The sword was more curved by 1938, but a more standardized version was established in 1973 with a straight sword. The version adopted in 1973 is the version still in use today.

Inscription: What does the Saudi flag say? The script reads, “There is no god but God; Mohammad is the prophet of God”. It is a declaration of faith in the Muslim religion.
Sword: The addition of the sword on the Saudi Arabia flag represents strictness in justice and in faith.
