Nevada State Flag Details
A Nevada flag for sale is the perfect way to show your love for your state. The durability of the materials and print makes these flags ideal for indoor and outdoor use. The 3x5 flags are made from a knitted polyester material specifically designed for the outdoors. This is because the lightweight material is tear-resistant, preventing it from ripping when exposed to wind, rain, and other elements. We use an effective dye sublimation process, which infuses the ink into the fabric, so the colors won’t scratch or peel off the material. One side of the fabric is printed with the state flag of Nevada design and the mirror image bleeds through to the other side, saving you printing costs. If you need hardware to setup your flag on a wall or to carry it around, add either a wall-mounted pole kit or a handheld flagpole to your order. The grommet finishing on the side allows the flag to be installed on the hardware. Display these NV flags wherever you want to spread some state pride.

Flag of Nevada History
The first Nevada flag was created in 1905 by Governor John Sparks and Colonel Harry Day. This design capitalized on the state’s silver and gold and was different from the current design because it was a more muted color. Blue was eventually used as the background of a new Nevada state flag developed in 1915, but the artwork was thought too complicated. This resulted in a contest in 1926 for a new state flag for Nevada. Louis Shellback III submitted the winning artwork. It, however, wasn’t adopted until 1929 because the legislature revised the artwork and had disagreements about the placement of the word “Nevada” after C.C. Boak suggested it be added. The word “Nevada” was initially wrapped around the star symbol, but this was changed in 1991 to place “Nevada” beneath the star, which was way Boak intended. This has been the design used ever since.
Nevada Flag Meaning
Battle Born: This is one of the state’s mottos and refers to how the state of Nevada was born during the Civil War.
Silver Star: Nevada’s nickname is The Silver State, hence why the star is designed to be silver on the Nevada state flag.
Flowers: The two flowers at the bottom of the top left emblem are green sagebrush, which is the state’s flower.
