Netherlands Flags Details
Let all your friends and neighbors see how proud you are of your home country with these Netherlands flags for sale. These flags were designed to last due to the durable material and modern printing technique. The flag is made from knitted polyester that was created to be used indoors and outdoors due to its tear-resistance. We use a state-of-the-art dye sublimation printing process to recreate the design. This results in vivid colors that will not scratch or peel off the flag’s material. The flag’s design is printed on one side of the material and bleeds through to the other side, which is the common method for state and country flags. This allows the graphics to be visible from both sides of the Netherland flag while also saving on printing costs. Choose from a handheld or mounted pole set to display your flag. Our flags are finished with grommets on the side for easy installation. Showcase your patriotism by displaying a Dutch flag in front of your home or business.

Flag of the Netherlands History
Over the years there have been several Netherlands flags. During the Middle Ages, the Cross of Burgundy flag was used after the provinces of the country were united by the Duke of Burgundy. In the 1500s, when there was a revolt against King Philip II of Spain, an orange, white, and blue flag was used for the rebels. This is considered the first Dutch flag and the tricolor combination were colors associated with the rebels and their leader, Prince William of Orange. This flag is also known as the Prince’s flag or Prinsenvlag.
As time passed, red began appearing on the flag instead of orange as the country’s politics grew away from the House of Orange. The red, white, and blue color flag became known as the Flag of Holland, named after one of the provinces. It was later changed to the States Flag or Statenvlag.
During the Bavarian Revolution, the red, white, and blue flag got the addition in the top left corner of a maiden with a lion, shield, and cap of liberty. The flag didn’t last very long, though, as the Netherlands became part of the French Empire and imperial emblems were used instead. After the Netherlands gained its independence back in the early 1800s, both the Prince’s flag and States flag were seen again. A decree was made in 1937 by the Queen stating that the red, white, and blue design was the official flag of Netherlands, and it has remained so ever since.
Meaning of the Dutch Flag
Red: The top red stripe of the Holland flag represents bravery and valor. There’s another theory that the red stands for the people of the country.
White: The middle stripe is meant to represent honesty and peace. The alternate theory is that the middle stripe refers to the church.
Blue: The final blue stripe at the bottom of the Netherlands flag loyalty, justice, and vigilance. According to some, however, the blue also represents the nobility.
