Croatia Flags Details
Buy Croatian flags to display in front of your home, business, or office. Both indoor and outdoor settings are ideal for these flags due to the durable material and printing technique used. The flags are made from a knitted, outdoor-tested polyester fabric that will not tear when exposed to different kinds of weather. The flag design is printed on one side and bleeds through to the other side of the material, allowing the graphics to be visible from all directions. We print onto the polyester using a dye sublimation process, which ingrains the ink into the fabric so that it will not scratch or peel off. This gives both the print and fabric a long life. If you are looking for hardware to setup your flag, add on either a handheld flagpole or a mounted pole set to your order. Grommets are located on the side of the flag of Croatia for installing onto a flagpole. These Croatia flags for sale are the perfect addition to any setting where you want to spread love for your country.

Croatian Flag History
When Croatians revolted in 1848 from Hungarian rule, they used a flag as their symbol. They chose the red, white, and blue colors after the Russian flag, because Russia was an opponent of Hungary. While the revolt didn’t lead to their independence, the Croatia flag continued to be an emblem for the country. In 1941, the fascist Ustaša party proclaimed the independence of the country and added Croatia’s shield and their party symbol onto the flag. The party emblem was later replaced with a communist symbol before the additional emblem was dropped altogether when Croatia gained independence in 1990. This allowed the current version of the national flag to be adopted the same year. The modern design of the flag incorporates the colors of the flags previously used for the Kingdom of Croatia (red and white), the Kingdom of Slavonia (blue and white), and some of the Kingdom of Dalmatia (the blue).
Croatia Flag Meaning
Shield: Above the shield of Croatia with white and red checks, there are previous ancient shields used for Croatia, Dubrovnik, Dalmatia, Istria, and Slavonia. The red and white checkerboard of the shield is the chequy, a national symbol of Croatia. The origin is believed to come from Medieval times when it was used as the coat of arms for Stephen Držislav.
Red, White, and Blue Colors: Taken from the Russian flag because when Croatia was fighting for their independence in 1848, they hoped Russia would be an ally because of their conflict with Hungary. They were also colors used for previous Croatian flags for the Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia, and Dalmatia.
