China Flag Details
Showcase a China flag for sale in front of your home, office, event, celebration, and more. Our flags are designed to be durable for indoor and outdoor display. The outdoor-tested polyester fabric is knitted with tear resistance and fray resistance. This keeps the flag from getting ruined when setup in all kinds of weather. The dye sublimation printing technique we use ingrains the ink into the fabric to prevent it from scratching and peeling off the fabric. This also produces vivid, eye-popping colors. We print the design on one side of the flag and the mirror image bleeds through to the other side, making the print visible from all directions. If you need hardware for installing the flag of China, we have the option for including a handheld pole or a mounted pole set to your order. The grommets on the side of the flag easily assemble on the pole sets. These Chinese flags are the perfect addition to any setting, whether it be home or business.

Flag of China History
China had several flag designs before the current National Flag of the People’s Republic of China, aka the Five Star Red Flag. Prior designs included a yellow flag with a dragon during the Qing dynasty, a five-color flag, and other flags that included sun symbols. When the People’s Republic of China was formed in 1949, new designs for a national flag were submitted to a flag committee. The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference oversaw discussion for the Chinese flag. The conference chose a design by Zeng Liansong and made a few revisions to it. Liansong’s original flag included a hammer and sickle symbol in the star, but that was removed because it was already included in the Soviet Union’s flag. The conference also gave the flag its “Five Star Red Flag” nickname. The new China flag design was published in the People’s Daily before it was publicly raised for the first time on October 1st, 1949.
Chinese Flag Meaning and Colors
Red: The red background color of the China flag refers to the Chinese Communist Revolution.
Yellow: This color is associated with Chinese history as it is connected to the Machu dynasty and is an imperial color.
Large Star: The large star in China’s flag was meant by Liansong to represent the Chinese Communist Party in reference to “great saving star”, because it guided the nation. Some later reinterpretations saw the large star symbolizing China.
4 Small Stars: The smaller stars were in reference to a Mao Zedong speech where he discussed four social classes of Chinese people: scholars, peasants, workers, and merchants. Some later interpretations thought the stars referred to the national minorities.
