Tunisia Flags Details
These Tunisian flags are a great addition to a front porch, office, storefront, or anywhere else where you want to spread your love for your heritage or country. Our flags are designed to last a long time due to the durable polyester fabric. This material is knitted and tear-resistant so that it withstands a variety of elements. The print is also just as durable as the flag. We use a modern dye sublimation printing process, which infuses the ink into the fabric for bright colors that will not scratch or peel off the material. We also print the design on one side of the flag and the reverse image bleeds through to the other side, allowing the print to be seen from all directions. If you need a flagpole to assemble your flag, add on either a handheld pole or a mounted pole set to your order. The grommet finishing on the side of the flag allows you to easily install the flag on the hardware. Display the flag of Tunisia for an extended period in a variety of locations with these high-quality flags.

Tunisian Flag History
There were several Tunisia flag designs before the current one, spanning through several dynasties. The previous flags were also of varying colors, such as green during the Fatimid Caliphate, yellow during the Hafsid dynasty Sultanate, and blue, red, and green during the Husainid dynasty. The crescent and star symbol were used as early as the Hafsid dynasty and have appeared in several variations of the country’s flag. The modern design comes from plain red maritime flags used by Muslim countries. After the Tunisian naval division was destroyed in battle in 1827, the current leader of the Husainid dynasty, Hussein II, wanted the navy to have a distinguishing flag. This ushered in the current design of the Tunisian flag, which was approved around 1831. The flag remained, even during the French protectorate. It was unaltered and became the state flag for the Republic of Tunisia in 1959 and a special law was created about the specifications of the design in 1999.
Tunisia Flag Meaning

White: The white color that accents the disk and star of the flag stands for peace.
Disk: This disk at the center of the flag is meant to represent the sun and the radiant nation. The crescent is a good luck symbol for Islam.
Star: The five-pointed star also in the center of the flag stands for unity and the Five Pillars of Islam. This star is also a traditional Islamic symbol.
