Belgium Flags Details
Showcase a 3x5 Belgian flag in front of your home, office, or business to let passersby see your country pride. Our flags are made to long-lasting due to the durable, outdoor-tested fabric used. The flag is made from knitted polyester, which is great for outdoor use due to the tear resistance. This means that the flag withstands all kinds of weather without getting ruined. The flag design is recreated using a modern dye sublimation method, which infuses the ink into the fabric rather than printing on top of the material. This prevents the print from scratching or peeling off the fabric. One side of the flag is printed and the graphics bleed through to the other side, which is the common practice for state and country flags. Add on hardware to your order for easily installing the flag on a pole set. Choose between a mounted set or a handheld flagpole. This Belgium flag for sale is a great addition to indoor and outdoor locations and is made to last.

Belgian Flag History
Belgium had several flag designs before the current one. This was because, for years, Belgium was part of such kingdoms as Lotharingia and under Spanish and Austrian rule. During these times, Belgium adopted the flags of these kingdoms. When the Austrian flag was being imposed on the Belgians, they refused this, and they began adapting red, yellow, and black colors. This was because the colors were associated with Brabant, a state from the Holy Roman Empire. When the Belgian Revolution occurred in 1830, the French flag was used but eventually replaced with a tricolor flag of red, yellow, and black. The colors were used during the Brabant Revolution where the United States of Belgium was established. The constitution described the Belgium flag has red, yellow, and black, the reverse order of the current flag. The stripes also were first vertical and then changed to horizontal in 1831. The stripes were placed in the modern order of black, yellow, and red around this time, as well.
Belgium Flag Meaning
Black: The black color of the flag of Belgium became associated with the country due to the black lion symbol of Flanders and Namur during the Brabant period.
Yellow: This stripe color is identified with Belgium because of the yellow lion being a symbol of Brabant.
Red: The final red stripe is another color that was connected to Belgium because of the red lion emblem of Hainaut, Limburg, and Luxembourg around the Brabant time.
